The founder of Children of The Trees, Lindsey Basnaw, has a masters degree in Social work and is licensed to practice in Idaho. Lindsey began working with children at the age of 19 when she lived in England volunteering at a blind and disabled school for children and young adults. A year later, she began working at Upward Bound, a summer
The founder of Children of The Trees, Lindsey Basnaw, has a masters degree in Social work and is licensed to practice in Idaho. Lindsey began working with children at the age of 19 when she lived in England volunteering at a blind and disabled school for children and young adults. A year later, she began working at Upward Bound, a summer program for Native youth in Fairbanks, AK. Lindsey worked at a group home for teenage girls for 6 years while putting herself through college to become a licensed behavioral health therapist. In 2016, Lindsey worked as a program coordinator at the Kalispel Tribe of Indians. As the program coordinator Lindsey helped individuals transitions from inpatient facilities, incarceration, and homelessness to reintegrating back into society. In 2018, Lindsey began her career in Mental Health counseling working with all ages in community mental health.
